I cannot believe it has been ONE YEAR since the birth of American Detox. 🎂
This journey has truly changed my life - from taking the leap to write a book proposal, to digging deep and coming clean, to facing my fears over and over and over again, to climbing a mountain of edits, to letting go and letting it fly…I am changed, I am humbled and I am ready for more…more learning, more growing, more questions...
Questions, not answers brought me to this inquiry:
...I wanted to know how we got here - a toxic culture steeped in separation supremacy and scarcity. A culture that is deeply unwell as evidenced by the many accelerating crises we are facing. A chronic un-wellness that plagues us despite the 4.4 trillion dollar wellness industry
...I wanted to know who I was in all of that; who we are and how we have been shaped by the many myths that build this country and shaped the western wellness culture
...I wanted to know why I got to be well when so many people are suffering….if a wellness for some is really making us worse.
...And I wanted to know what it is gonna take to heal, how to repair the impossible wounds of our shared past, how to take responsibility for this very messy in between moment and how to build the future that we all deserve. A future that has never been.
