June is pride month, so we wanted to tell you a bit about Doris’ history of championing our LGBTQ+ community.
Throughout her career, Congresswoman Doris Matsui has consistently strengthened the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals by ensuring their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed in Congress.
Doris Matsui firmly believes that every person deserves to live their lives authentically and without fear of discrimination or prejudice. She has earned a 100% rating from the Human Rights Campaign by consistently supporting legislation that protects the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, such as repealing the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, and co-sponsoring the Equal Rights Amendment Act reintroduction.
From Florida to Texas, LGBTQ+ communities are under attack and rights are hanging in the balance, as more restrictive, hateful, and divisive laws are enacted. We need Doris in office now more than ever. We need a true LGBTQ+ champion in office to fight for this community and to protect their rights as Americans.
