The Virginia House of Delegates passed the National Popular Vote bill today by a 51-46 margin -- making it the 41st state legislative chamber to do so. The bill now goes to the Virginia Senate.

The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The bill would make every vote in every state equal throughout the United States, and make every vote politically relevant in every election.
