We need your voice, Friend. Right now, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is taking public input on policies critical to land conservation in the United States.
The BLM — the nation’s largest steward of public land — is considering options for how it tackles cultural lands protection, conservation, recreation, wildlife, and climate resilience, including protections for mature and old growth forests.
This is absolutely critical. For too long, the BLM has prioritized resource extraction like logging, drilling, mining, and grazing over conservation in its management decisions.
Our public lands are already under serious pressure from logging interests and the dirty energy industry. We’re calling on everyone who cares about the environment and our public lands to send a message today. It only takes a second:
TAKE ACTION: Send your message to the Bureau of Land Management now >>
After Biden took office, he set a major goal of protecting 30% of US lands and waters by 2030. That means doubling land conservation in the country. Scientists argue it's absolutely essential to addressing climate change and preventing mass wildlife extinctions.
The thing is — that goal won’t get met by any one single policy. We need to aggressively call on Biden’s agencies to follow through. Bottom line — the actions agencies like BLM take now are integral to meeting that target.
But without the voices of the environmental movement — people like you and me — this debate could be drowned out by corporate polluters. We’re already seeing serious pressure from the other side. So we’re asking:
Please, send your letter today. This is a critical opportunity huge chance to prioritize protect conservation on our nation’s public lands >>
Thank you for making your voice heard, Friend.
Onward,
Team LCV
