As Attorney General, I championed the My Health, My Data Act, which prohibits websites and apps from collecting and selling consumer health data. For example, health apps that track your period can sell that sensitive information to data brokers, including anti-choice groups and law enforcement in states with strict anti-abortion laws. My legislation adopted by the legislature stopped this in its tracks.
When Donald Trump attacked contraception access, I took him to court and won.
And earlier this year, I led a national effort that protected the availability of the abortion pill mifepristone — a huge victory for reproductive justice for millions of Washingtonians and people across the country.
As Governor, I will bring the same energy and results. I will keep fighting to defend reproductive rights for all Washingtonians.
