Asking for money is not my favorite part of this job. But I know it’s important, and the funds we raise help us reach voters, spread my message, and build a strong coalition - all things that are absolutely essential for a winning campaign.
Today, the Supreme Court upheld provisions of the Voting Rights Act to keep states from racially gerrymandering their Congressional districts. This is a huge win, but the fight for voting rights and fair maps is one we must remain committed to. That’s why I’m asking you to get involved in our campaign, because if Bo Hines wins this race he will do all he can to limit voting access and roll back the progress that’s been made.
So I make the asks because I know what’s at risk if we let this seat flip. The issues we all care about so much: voting rights, reproductive freedom, and accessible healthcare rely on who represents our community in Congress.
Our 48-Hour Flip The House BLUE Fund is nearly over, and we still have $875 left to raise to reach our $2,500 goal by midnight. So while it’s no fun to ask for your donations, I’m doing it because I know how we show up this quarter will determine our ability to win this race in 2024.
