I’m Sam Eppler, and I’m writing to share some big news: I’m running for Congress in Texas’ 24th Congressional District.
As the youngest high school principal in Dallas, I am ready to bring a new generation of leadership to Congress. Texans deserve a leader in Washington committed to providing quality education for every student and investing in our future. I’m running for Congress because no one in Congress is talking about the issues people in my community care about. As a product of the public school system and a current high school principal, I’m committed to education above all else. Right now, we’re facing a crisis in our schools – our teachers are underpaid, our schools are underfunded, and our students and teachers are fearing for their lives in the wake of gun violence. I believe that every single student across the country should have the same opportunities and the best education possible, regardless of their zip code. We must ensure that we’re investing in our future to prepare for 21st-century jobs in our rapidly changing and growing economy. My Republican opponent, Beth Van Duyne, is more focused on protecting and re-electing her former boss, President Trump, than taking care of Texans. As a vital member of our community and someone who would be the youngest member of the Texas delegation in Congress, I understand the real issues families are facing in TX-24, and I will always put our district first.
