MARCH ON is dedicated to increasing voter turnout and driving Democrats to the polls. Our data-driven solutions led the way for progressive victories in 2020 and 2022. Now, we're gearing up to stop Trump’s comeback in 2024.

Dear Friend,

We’re celebrating LGBTQ+ pride all month long by highlighting trans and nonbinary lawmakers working to advance progressive change nationwide.

Additionally, we’re taking action to demand that the Senate pass the Equality Act and protect LGBTQ+ rights at the federal level – click here to join us in action! >>

This week, we’re celebrating Sarah McBride of Delaware!

McBride won her election to the Delaware State Senate in 2020. Upon her victory, she became the first openly transgender state senator in the nation, as well as the youngest member of Delaware’s State Senate.

As a State Senator, McBride has led the charge for paid family and medical leave in Delaware – and in May 2022, her landmark bill to provide 12 weeks of paid leave was signed into law. Now, Senator McBride serves as the chair of the Health & Social Services Committee to continue her important work for Delaware families.

Prior to her election, McBride was already working to advance LGBTQ+ rights and equality nationwide. She joined the White House Office of Public Engagement under President Obama’s administration, spoke at the 2016 Democratic National Convention, and served as a spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign.

This Pride Month, we’re inspired by Sarah McBride’s work to break barriers and advance critical progressive policy!

That’s why we’re calling on you to join us in demanding the Senate pass the Equality Act this June.

In the wake of anti-trans legislation, bans on drag performances, and censorship of books featuring LGBTQ+ characters, the Equality Act would overturn state-level attacks on our rights and protect our communities from future acts of discrimination.

Thank you for taking action with us!
