Tim Scott is a product of the American Dream.
Just a generation ago, Tim Scott’s
grandfather, Artis Ware, was born into a segregated south.
Forced to leave school in third grade to pick cotton in the fields of Charleston for 50 cents
a day, Artis wasn’t given the opportunities promised by America’s founding doctrine.
Artis had every reason to be bitter for the
discrimination seen in his lifetime, but instead he remained focused on creating a better life for his family in any way he could.
Growing up, a young
Tim Scott remembers watching his grandfather reading the newspaper to stay informed.
It wasn’t until years later that Tim learned Artis was
illiterate and only pretended to read to set a good example for his grandson.
Artis Ware ultimately lived to see Tim sworn into the House and
Senate of the United States, closing the loop from cotton to congress in one lifetime.
Now Senator Scott is running for the Presidency to protect the American Dream for years to come and he’s
counting on YOUR SUPPORT! |
