Saving more lives starts right here, right now.
PAWS Chicago Giving Day is Thursday, June 22. Starting now, our animal-loving friends at My Virtuous Quest are matching Giving Day donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $35,000. Plus, donate $50 or more and receive a PAWS Chicago red bandana.
Every PAWS Chicago red bandana represents a life saved, like weeks-old puppy Fig who was diagnosed with parvo—an aggressive virus that's extremely contagious and has no simple cure.
Thanks to the PAWS community, our Medical Center is one of only a few shelter hospitals equipped to treat parvo. Meaning, the only thing between a pet with parvo and euthanasia is often PAWS Chicago.
“It’s literally because of donors that we’re able to give these pets IVs, feeding tubes, and oxygen therapy. If we can just get them through this, they can live a whole new life,” said Dr. Emily Yacker, Medical Director of PAWS Chicago.
Because of your support, Fig got everything she needed to survive and, today, she is fully recovered and happily adopted. Every snuggle, tussle, and tail wag she enjoys is thanks to you.
Please join us on Giving Day, June 22 as we strive to do more for the pets who need us most. Promise a gift to homeless pets and instantly DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT.

Volunteer of the Month: Kat Bush
“We adopted a dog from PAWS in October 2020 during the pandemic. Seeing my daughter bonding and caring for the dog made me feel really grateful for PAWS, and I decided I wanted to give back for all we have gotten,” said Kat Bush.
