A little over a week ago I voted for the resolution negotiated by both parties to raise our debt ceiling and ensure America is fiscally responsible in paying our bills.
For all the fighting in the media, the reality is, both sides of the aisle were able to come together for the good of the American people. This is putting people over politics.
On issue after issue, it’s imperative that we come together using common sense to pass policies for the common good. It’s a strange refrain in Washington, but I know we can do it.
