Friend — Elissa Slotkin here.
I'm the Congresswoman and former national security officer running for the open Senate seat in Michigan.
My race could be the deciding factor in whether Democrats maintain the majority and, if elected, I would be the youngest Democratic woman in the Senate.
And this race is off to a busy start: my team has received so much back-to-back news this month that it can be hard to keep it all straight. So let us lay it out plain and simply for you.
FIRST: Politico reported that the Vice Chair of the New York Stock Exchange is considering running for the Senate seat in Michigan.
THEN: The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) launched their first attack ad against me, over 500 days away from the 2024 elections.
NOW: CNN just named Michigan as one of the 10 Senate seats most likely to flip in 2024.
So to put it all together: Our race is being watched as one of the most likely to flip, it’s clear that National Republicans are monitoring this race closely, and they just got a self-funding candidate with deep ties to Wall Street.
All of this spells out a lot of early trouble for our campaign. The best way we can prepare to fight back against their endless attack and seemingly empty pockets is with some grassroots support of our own. So what do you say, friend?
Can you please split a contribution between me and Michael Bennet today? The amount isn't as important as the donation itself, because every one sends a message about the strength of our grassroots campaign.
