Major Court Victory: A federal judge in Texas just sided with the Second
Amendment Foundation in our court case against the Biden administration’s “Arm
Brace Rule,” which would classify handguns with attached arm braces as
“short-barreled rifles.”



The judge issued a preliminary injunction and granted in part our motion to
stop the rule from being enforced.



This is a significant win for the SAF, law-abiding citizens, and responsible

We took Attorney General Merrick Garland, Biden’s Justice Department, and
bureaucrats from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF)
to court over the constitutionality and legality of the rule… and won.



But it’s just a temporary halt.

The “Arm Brace Rule” marks a dramatic shift in policy. If pistols with braces
are reclassified as “short barreled rifles,” then they are subject to the
National Firearms Act - which requires registration and a $200 fee for every
one of these pistols.



It’s a slippery slope that sets a dangerous precedent.
