Friends,

I'm writing this morning to ask you to make a contribution — of anything you can — to our people-powered campaign for Congress. Before I do, I hope you'll give me a chance to explain why.

Here's the situation:

The month of June is in full swing, which means in just a few short weeks we're facing an official FEC fundraising deadline. These deadlines are at the end of every quarter — just four times a year — and are incredibly important to our campaign's success.

Once the deadline passes, we're legally required to report our numbers. That means not only how much we've raised, but how many individual contributions make up that amount.

They'll be available for everyone to see. Good or bad, big or small.

It also means that our opponents — right-wing Republicans, Washington lobbyists, the dark money super PACs who fund them — they're going to be looking to see how we did.

Why?

They want to know if our campaign has the resources to fight back against the attacks they're planning to fire our way. They want to know if it's worth their time and money to pour millions of dollars into Minnesota this year and next to try and defeat us.

We don't want our enemies to like what they see when they open our FEC report next quarter. Which is why we're counting on you to help send a message that our movement stands stronger than ever. So please:

Can you make a contribution — of $5 or anything you can — to stand with our campaign today? The donation itself matters more than the amount you give, so anything you can chip in goes a long way.
