This petition campaign has just begun. The U.S. Senate just held the first roll call vote on the ERA in 40 years and the majority of U.S. Senators voted yes. A caucus has formed on Capitol Hill to focus on enshrining the ERA into the Constitution. The fight for equality and women’s rights is more critical than ever.

The goal of this petition drive is for the Senators and Representatives to see the overwhelming support the public has for the ERA.
Majority Leader Chuck Schumer held a historic vote in the Senate earlier this month. And a majority of Senators went on record voting in favor of the ERA. While the vote fell short of the super majority needed to break the filibuster, Senator Schumer, through a parliamentary procedure, is prepared to hold a vote again later in this session.
