BREAKING: We are currently assisting the Pepin County Sheriff’s Office with the rescue of nearly 90 dogs and puppies from a breeding operation. The dogs, all varying breeds and sizes including puppies and pregnant dogs, were found living on a property in unsanitary conditions. Some of the animals had dirty coats and appeared to be suffering from untreated medical issues, requiring immediate veterinary treatment.
Several equines, including two horses and five donkeys, were also found on the property. |
Following their removal, we are relocating the dogs to an ASPCA recovery center where they can be further assessed and treated by our staff. While in our care, these dogs will receive much-needed medical and behavioral care and enrichment. We are also assisting with operational planning, evidence collection and crime scene processing, investigative and legal support, forensics exams and behavior evaluations.
As our rescue response continues, our work has only just begun, and we urgently need your support for animals like these. Your lifesaving gift today can help give protection and care to even more vulnerable animals. If you’re able, please give now. |
