Over the last five years, Doorways has seen an 84% increase in need for safehousing (emergency shelter). And this year, we've already sheltered more than 115 survivors, continuing the trend. As Arlington's only provider of safehousing, Doorways never turns away a survivor in imminent danger. Safe Harbor

No one should have to choose between abuse and homelessness. But many survivors who bravely uproot their lives to escape violence at home don't have anywhere else go. That's where we come in. With your support, Doorways provides safe harbor for survivors and their families.

Healing

Doorways' response to homelessness and intimate partner violence goes well beyond emergency shelter. Our programs range from youth-centered prevention education, to wraparound support in shelter and housing, including dedicated children's services. With your support, kids at Doorways get the help they need to heal, such as art therapy.

Hope

Doorways exists because of hope. Together with our community, we believe that no one experiencing abuse or homelessness should do so alone.
