Animal protections are under threat—fight back now!
Take Action

Friend,

Animals are at risk of losing even their most basic protections. As Congress gears up to start debate on the Farm Bill, they’ll decide to include measures that could protect animals—or doom them to lives of suffering.

One of the cruelest measures we’re preparing to fight against is the Exposing Agriculture Trade Suppression (EATS) Act. It has the potential to invalidate hundreds of pro-animal state laws that prevent the cruel cage confinement of egg-laying hens, mother pigs and veal calves, the abuse of dogs in puppy mills, the killing of animals for the wildlife trade, painful cosmetics testing on animals, and more. Take action today and tell your members of Congress to oppose the EATS Act!

Take Action

Unfortunately, the EATS Act doesn’t just threaten animals—it could hurt people, too. Because the EATS Act targets a wide range of laws passed at the state level, it could invalidate other crucial protections on issue such as pesticide application on fields, arsenic in food, lead poisoning, chemicals in baby food containers, pollution standards for spraying sewage on crops, flammability standards for cigarettes, and child labor.

We cannot let Congress include legislation like the EATS Act in this year’s Farm Bill. If we don’t fight back, millions of animals and people could suffer. Please act now and let your legislators know you oppose legislation like the EATS Act and urge them to fight against its inclusion in this year’s Farm Bill!

Thank you,
