Parental Rights Groups are the Latest Target of SPLC “Hate Map”
- The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which brands mainstream conservative and Christian organizations as “hate groups,” placing them on a map with chapters of the Ku Klux Klan, added a slew of parental rights organizations to that “hate map” for 2022 and labeled them “antigovernment groups.”
- The SPLC revealed a focus on parental rights groups in April, when the organization’s Maya Henson Carey compared parental rights advocates to the “Uptown Klans” of white Southerners trying to maintain segregation after the Supreme Court’s landmark 1954 ruling in Brown v. Board of Education
- The SPLC report does not once mention the Left’s aggressive promotion of sexualized material for children in schools and at other venues. It does not mention how many on the Left champion the idea that children should be able to identify with a gender opposite their biological sex, hide that identity from their parents, and even obtain life-altering drugs without parental consent. Instead, it acts as though the parental rights movement emerged in a vacuum, or worse, is motivated by hatred.

For Big Businesses, Pride Comes Before the Fall
- From the boardroom to the cash register, big businesses have gone woke for “Pride.” But consumers finally seem to have had their fill.
- Businesses exist to create a good or service of public value and to deliver a profit for their shareholders. But marketing transgender ideology does not (as Anheuser-Busch and Target now know too well) deliver shareholder profit or create consumer value. It destroys it.
- Transgender ideology undermines what is good, true, and beautiful about each of us. It confuses children about their identities and pushes them to permanently harm their bodies—making them more depressed and suicidal in the process.

Americans are Fed-Up with Gender Ideology
- The Human Rights Campaign, a powerful and well-funded left-wing advocacy group, declared a “national emergency” for “LGBTQ+” people on Tuesday. The evidence the group produced to prove its case was that many states passed bans on so-called gender-affirming care for children, prohibited gender-neutral restrooms, and prevented biological males from competing in female sports.
- Fed-up Americans are using the power of the purse and democracy to short-circuit the Human Rights Campaign—one of the biggest drivers of corporate wokeness—and its political allies.
- The Right needs more than a few successful boycotts to “win.” To capitalize on this moment, it needs a governing agenda and leadership to play the long game and create lasting institutional and societal change.
