Last weekend was AMAZING! The Roots Picnic was full of fun performances. On Day 1, Ms. Lauryn Hill’s performance celebrating 25 years of her most iconic album (Alexa, play The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill) included a Fugees reunion, and on Day 2, we danced and sang with everyone from Maverick City Music to the City Girls. Philly was the place to be.
But let's be real, my favorite part of the weekend was seeing all of you! We were able to register so many first-time voters and share the importance of this work with you. Thanks to all of you who showed up. 🫶🏾
Don’t worry if you missed us this past weekend, you can still take action during our Summer of Action by:
💻 Registering to vote or checking your registration status at whenweallvote.org.
📲 Texting three friends and asking them to check their voter registration.
I’m also so thankful for our volunteers, Stephanie, Alexis, Ajene, and Shannon. Together, we brought voting to the culture, and you can too. Remember, the best way to make your voice heard is to vote. See you next year!
