Former Vice President Mike Pence formally entered the race for the Republican presidential nomination on Monday, and I have to tell you -- he'll fit right in.
The Republican presidential primary is a race to the bottom on abortion, and Pence is no exception. The GOP's position couldn't be more clear, from Pence's stated desire for a national ban to Donald Trump being 'proud' to have overseen the end of Roe v. Wade to Tim Scott's promise to sign anti-abortion legislation to Ron DeSantis signing multiple abortion bans in Florida. Anti-choice extremism is the consensus.
Do not let their attempt to hide their positions fool you: Republicans want to end abortion, and any one of them will use the White House to do so if they win it back. Period.
At EMILYs List, we are working to make sure voters understand the stakes in this election. For the sake of our freedom and our reproductive rights, we cannot let one of these anti-choice Republicans take the White House.
Will you donate today to support our work education voters and electing Democratic pro-choice women?
