Last night, NYC had the worst air quality of any major city in the world
as smoke from a record number of wildfires in Canada drifted across the
northeast U.S.^1

Today, 1 million public school children were told they couldn’t play
outside due to the risks.

Poor air quality is being recorded in Charlotte, NC — over 1,000 miles
away from the fires.

By Friday, we expect the air to have cleared, but these emergencies will
only happen more unless we take aggressive action on climate change.

healthcare to prepare for what’s to come and catch up to what is already

stay indoors, and use an indoor air filtration system if possible.

If you must go outside, wear a tight-fitting medical mask (like an N95 or
KN95), and limit physical activity.
