Team — June marks the start of the summer months, but in the campaign world, it also means the end of the second fundraising quarter of the year.

Every three months, our team puts together a budget for the quarter, and we try to reach certain fundraising milestones every month (we email you about those sometimes!).

And in just a few weeks, we have one of our biggest deadlines of the year. When the fundraising quarter ends on June 30, we have to share our fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission (or FEC) — and everyone will have access to that report, including national Republicans.

Last quarter, Pat knocked his fundraising out of the park. Now, Republicans are going to be watching extra closely to see how much we’ve raised and how strong this grassroots team really is.

The GOP has identified this seat as a top target, and if they see any signs of weakness in Pat’s FEC report, they’ll open the floodgates of outside spending.
