Record-breaking temperatures intensified by the climate crisis ignited wildfires across Canada last week — bringing a thick haze of smoke over homes in the Northeast and Midwest. New York City looks like it’s on fire, kids are choking on dirty air, and people are being forced to call out of work or face potentially serious health threats by just stepping outside.

The climate crisis is not going to be just one cataclysmic event that stops our lives, it's one fossil fueled disaster or disruption after another:

Just last month, Colorado was plagued with dangerous air quality caused by wildfires for several days, which increased massive flooding risks across the country. Record heat waves forced several schools to shut their doors, disrupting the education and well-being of students.

And now one of the biggest insurance companies out there, has given up on new home insurance policies in California leaving families vulnerable. Why? Because the risks and threats posed by climate change-related disasters are too high.

The climate crisis is no longer some abstract concept. We’re feeling the impacts in our daily lives now and we need immediate action. That’s why we’re calling on Biden to declare a Climate Emergency!
