Last month, Donald Trump said that he would be willing to cut critical programs like Medicare and Medicaid.

Yesterday, Donald Trump’s budget shows us that he means it.

Once again, Donald Trump has made clear that he’s willing to jeopardize the health care of millions of families, children and seniors in this country.

As a former State Treasurer, I know budgets. Budgets are black and white. There’s no room to hide when it comes to hard numbers.

And Donald Trump’s budget very clearly shows us that he’s ready and willing to put vital safety-net programs that protect the most vulnerable among us – including Medicare and Medicaid – on the chopping block.

These numbers show exactly who Donald Trump is and why we cannot afford four more years of this administration’s reckless proposals that have real and devastating costs for millions of Americans.

Will you sign our petition and condemn Trump's dangerous and draconian budget cuts?

A society is defined by how it treats its oldest members and its youngest. For yet another year, I will continue to fight tooth and nail to make sure that these outrageous cuts never become law.

We need to stand together to say that this is not who we are, and we are done slashing the programs that keep our fellow Americans safe, healthy and secure in old age.
