A portion of SW Lake Helena Road in South Kitsap will be temporarily closed to all classes of vehicular traffic and pedestrians just east of the intersection with Wicks Lake Rd SW starting no earlier than June 10, 2023 and ending no later than September 30, 2023. The road closure will allow Kitsap County Public Works to replace two failing culverts and restore fish passage in an unnamed tributary of Huge creek that flows to Minter creek.
A temporary bypass road will be constructed along the west side of Wicks Lake Rd SW to allow for local access traffic. YMCA Camp Helena can be accessed from JM Dickinson Rd SW.
