Last week, a draft executive order from the White House was circulating throughout the media. The order - titled Make Federal Buildings Beautiful Again - establishes classical architecture as the "preferred style" for many new public buildings.

Having a high profile politician promote your cause is tricky during the most amicable of times. These are not such times. Yet, despite the uproar, there is reason to think classical architecture should be given more consideration, especially for significant public buildings.
