Dear supporters, Stand with Parkland is excited to share the new Federal School Safety Clearinghouse of best practices to help deter violence on our nation’s school campuses. SchoolSafety.gov will be an invaluable tool to help those responsible for keeping students and staff safe in schools everywhere implement stronger security measures without having to reinvent the wheel. Many of the practices highlighted are simple, low-cost measures that can be implemented by school districts, staff, and administrators even if they do not have a security background. Stand with Parkland Founding Member Max Schachter testified in front of the Federal Commission on School Safety in the fall of 2018 to encourage the government to build a clearinghouse to collect best practices. Stand with Parkland has been in constant contact with the Trump administration and relevant departments to plan and beta test the tool. One size does not necessarily fit all with America's diverse schools. This site will help every school take steps to improve the safety of students and teachers by sharing best practices that can be adapted for each unique situation. Had some of these measures been in place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School two years ago, seventeen beloved souls might still be with us today. Every school in America can do things today to make their schools safer, and Stand with Parkland is proud to have championed this excellent tool to make that happen. Please visit and share the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse. Thank you, - Stand with Parkland
