John -
The air quality in the region has declined dramatically over the last 48 hours. Smoke from wildfires in Canada have blanketed the entire northeastern seaboard of the country. According to the National Weather Service, poor air quality can lead to difficulty breathing, headaches, irritated eyes and sinuses, chest pains and asthma attacks, fatigue, throat irritation, and increased coughing. It's best to stay indoors, but if you have to go outside - it's recommended that you wear an N-95 mask.
On to present business - tonight at 7pm is the Arlington Democrats Monthly Meeting at Drew Elementary School. It is indeed indoors and the meeting will be live-streamed as usual on the ArlDems youtube channel. This will be the last monthly meeting before the June primaries so be sure to tune in virtually or in-person.
And of course, a reminder that early voting for the June primaries is already under way and ends June 17th! So if you haven't voted, it's time to go cast your ballot!
