It’s Pride Month, a time to celebrate the progress we’ve made in securing equal rights for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this month and share with you the importance of electing leaders who truly support and fight for these values.
While Pride Month serves as a joyful reminder of the progress we've made, we know there is much more work to do to achieve true equality. Our current representative has consistently let us down when it comes to defending the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. Not surprisingly, Stauber has voted NO on bills aimed at protecting the freedom to marry such as the Respect for Marriage Act.
Pete Stauber has made it clear that he does not believe in granting people the freedom to marry who they love. This is simply unacceptable. It’s clear that we have progressed beyond the antiquated mindset of Pete Stauber, who is out of touch with the values of acceptance, inclusivity, and equal rights for all.
However, I am here to assure you that I will be a steadfast champion for equality and fairness. I will fight tirelessly to protect the freedom to marry whom you love.
