Dear friend,
It’s Sen. Jeff Merkley. I’ll go ahead and warn you now—this email is long. Maybe it’s too long. But it could also be one of the most important emails I’ll ever send you about the stakes of the 2024 elections.
So, if you can, I hope you’ll read my entire message. But if you don’t have time, then I hope you'll at least help Democrats defend (and expand!) our Senate majority in 2024 by clicking this link and pitching in a grassroots donation of any kind right away. >> [[link removed]]
Democrats across the country need our help. That’s why I started Blue Senate PAC, and why I’m sending you this email laying out exactly how we plan to save our Senate majority, defend democracy, and defeat the Republican extremists tearing our country apart.
So please, keep reading—and then let’s all work together to elect even more Democrats in 2024 by following this simple, three-step plan...
Step 1: Focus On The Real Issues That Matter
Here’s the truth: Democrats win elections when we focus on and talk about the important issues that actually matter to folks. The ones that impact their day-to-day lives.
Protecting abortion. Safeguarding voting rights. Building an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected. Saving our environment. Defending democracy.
These are the issues that will be decided by next year’s elections. And it’s why Blue Senate is fully committed to supporting the pro-democracy Democrats ready to fight for abortion care, protect the right to vote, prioritize our economy, and address climate change.
But we can’t support these candidates and protect our Democratic values without your help, folks. So I’m personally asking:
Will you contribute $10, $25 or even $50 right away to support Blue Senate and protect our Democratic Senate majority from far-right extremism? Click here to pitch in now. >> [[link removed]]
Step 2: Build A People-Powered Grassroots Movement
Blue Senate is not your typical PAC, folks.
Unlike Super PACs and dark-money groups, Blue Senate is raising grassroots dollars to directly boost Democratic candidates' campaigns.
Why is this important?
In order to match Mitch McConnell and the GOP megadonors funding these Republican Senate campaigns, Democrats need help. We can’t rely on some MAGA money machine to come bail us out at the last minute, so instead we’re counting on your small-dollar support.
But this people-powered, grassroots strategy only works if you’re willing to chip in whatever you can, whenever you can.
So please, if you’re committed to defeating Mitch McConnell and his GOP dark-money groups, will you chip in $25 (or more!) to help Blue Senate elect Democrats in 2024? [[link removed]]
Step 3: Support Candidates In The Most Competitive Races
Democrats are barely hanging on to a 51-49 majority in the Senate, folks.
And since we’re defending tough seats in swing states like Montana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Nevada, it’s going to take ALL of us stepping up and doing our part in order to save our Senate majority and preserve the Democratic agenda moving forward.
Blue Senate is going ALL IN to support these five incumbent Democrats—Jon Tester, Sherrod Brown, Bob Casey, Tammy Baldwin and Jacky Rosen—but we won’t win without your help.
DON’T FORGET: If Republicans flip just two Senate seats next November, the GOP could pass a national abortion ban, roll back any and all environmental progress we’ve made, further restrict voting rights, and continue to tear apart our democracy.
That’s why I’m sending (long) emails like this one. And why I’m asking for your help now before it’s too late.
Please, donate $10, $25 or any other amount right away if you support Blue Senate’s mission and remain committed to defending our Democratic Senate majority in 2024. >> [[link removed]]
