As crazy as it may sound, there are still some bills that Congress not only passes but does so with bipartisan support.

The Farm Bill is one of those bills. Every five years, Congress reauthorizes hundreds of billions of dollars in agriculture and food programs. It’s a chance to introduce and expand climate policy in legislation that both sides want to see passed.

And it’s up for reauthorization this year!

So as negotiations take place over the summer, we want you to be prepared to get in on the action. Watch our video to learn all about this little-known but highly impactful bill, so you can help advocate for progressive Farm Bill with significant climate investments.

Passing a strong Farm Bill is one of EnviroVoters’ top federal priorities, friend.

The U.S. can make strides in water and land conservation, regenerative agriculture, forestry, and expanding equity for small and marginalized farmers. We can also protect our waterways and implement better resource management and climate-smart agricultural practices.

But we also must fight off attempts to cut these investments.

Big Agriculture will surely be emptying its war chest to lobby members of Congress on both sides of the aisle. To make sure we’re prepared to defend the bill’s key climate provisions, we first need to get informed.
