As a community, RG has cautiously and gratefully decided to gather in person this year to welcome the new leadership that has flooded into our membership community over the past 3 years. Some of the core skills—relationship-based agitation, transformative fundraising, struggle, and debate have a particular magic when we’re able to be in the same room. There is something here for everybody—whether you joined the listserv in 2020 and have been waiting for your chance to meet people or you have been leading a chapter or working group for the last couple years—we’re excited to see you! At each event, we’ll be taking careful precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

July 20-22 in Philadelphia, PA

From July 20-22 in Philadelphia, PA, this event will bring together over 1,700 grassroots leaders, organizers, elected officials, movement artists and leading national progressive voices for two days of transformative learning, action and collective power-building. This is an opportunity for us to show up publicly as RG and to build deeper relationships with our national campaign partner organization. We will be offering our stories and concrete skills to a national cross-class movement convening, and will be bringing back base building and campaign skills (and hopefully fired up energy) back to your local chapters. Our delegation will mask in indoor spaces and PCR test before travel. Can’t make it to the People’s Convention but still want to support bringing thousands of working class organizers together? We are trying to raise at least $15,000 to offset the cost of travel, child care and food for CPD members this summer.
RG Organizing Summit! [[link removed]]
August 4-6, YMCA of the Rockies outside of Denver, Colorado
WHO: RG members who have been through MMMC or Praxis
Over the course of this weekend, we’ll explore campaigns to win structural wealth redistribution and narrow the focus of RG’s new National Campaign. Participants will learn organizing skills, chapters will share projects they’ve been hard at work on, and we invite current RG Members (at-large or chapter members) who are interested in issue-based grassroots campaigns and ready to grow their leadership in cross-class movement building. We ask that at least 2 members from the same chapter attend together. This summit will be most useful to members who have attended MMMC and/or completed Praxis. Masks in indoor spaces and a PCR test prior to arrival will be required.

For more than 20 years, MMMC has helped connect young people to the social justice movements that urgently need our hearts and dollars. This four-day conference is designed to support, challenge, and engage young wealthy people of color and young wealthy white people through a series of workshops, panels, racial caucusing, and small group discussions.
There will continue to be abundant online programming for those who cannot travel, and we’re committed to training and leadership development virtually alongside a return to in person.
