1) School Choice Is Winning; Teacher Unions Are Losing

We thought this would be a good time to update the school choice map. At the beginning of the year, there were eight school choice states. Now we have 14 with solid programs and four that are still in play.

Notice that virtually every state with school choice is red – which is sadly ironic because the left loves to talk about how much they care about children. Actually, they care much more about teachers unions than kids.

School Choice States:

School choice plans that have not yet passed:

If we can get Texas, Ohio, and Georgia – these would be the cherries on top of the sundae. Greatest year ever for school choice!

2) Ohio – You’re Next!

Speaking of Ohio, we are getting close.

School choice is in the State Senate's budget:

The Senate’s budget makes an Ed Choice Scholarship universally available to every Ohio student based on a sliding scale of income eligibility that is funded by the state.

Families earning 450% of the federal poverty level ($135,000 for a family of four) will qualify for a full scholarship funded by the state. That is $6,165 for K-8 students and $8,407 for high school students. Scholarships for students in families within incomes above 450% will be means-tested with scholarship amounts adjusted based on their income. Every student in Ohio will be eligible for a scholarship worth at least 10% of the maximum scholarship regardless of income.

“Parents know what is best for their children,” said President Huffman. “Where they go to school can make all the difference.”

3) Moore Testifies to Congress on How ESG Policies Are Robbing Americans’ Pensions and 401k Plans

In case you missed it yesterday, here are the highlights from the House Oversight Committee hearing on ESG. You know that Dems were losing this argument when they resorted to stammering that those of us who oppose climate change and hiring quotas are “racists.”

4) Speaking of One-Sided Debates: Congrats to DeSantis for Sending Larry Fink to the Canvas

You’ve probably seen this video of BlackRock CEO Larry Fink at a New York Times conference telling his fellow Corp executives that it was time for firms “to force behaviors, whether it’s gender or race.” He wants every Fortune 500 CEO in America to prioritize ESG (Environmental and Social Governance) and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) inside companies. He also said compensation for managers at his firm was based in part on how well they imposed ESG.

BlackRock is the very face of ESG fanaticism and it manages a whopping $9.5 trillion in assets.

So we cheered when we saw FL Gov. Ron DeSantis' slap down of Fink. He noted that BlackRock’s investment guidelines would kneecap domestic energy production and raise consumer prices.

He also said: “Who do these people think they are that they govern our society? Nobody voted for him [Fink]. And so our mantra in Florida is no economic or social transformation without representation. These are policies that could not win at the ballot box, and so they're trying to do through corporate America what they can't do in the electoral process.”

We'd be happy to sponsor a debate between DeSantis' and any major CEO who wants to defend ESG. Then the silent majority of Americans would at least know why their future retirement returns are in jeopardy.
