Yesterday, Colorado Republicans delivered a letter to the White House demanding that the decision to locate Space Command in Colorado Springs not be determined by radical Democrats' abortion agenda. (See the attached letter below.)

In fact, Colorado Republicans made it clear that we don't even want Space Command located in Colorado Springs if it means we lose a single unborn life to abortion-on-demand policies.

The letter states, "if the main driving force to keep Space Command in Colorado Springs is Colorado’s unfettered abortion laws that provide no restrictions whatsoever, then we strongly affirm that Space Command should stay located in Alabama.

We would rather protect the life of the unborn than seek to gain political or economic advantages for Colorado Springs and the defense industry."

We also made it clear that it is wrong for self-serving politicians in both parties to falsely accuse President Trump of making a "political" decision and then hypocritically demand the Biden Administration make a political decision to base Space Command in Colorado Springs due to Colorado's unrestrained abortion laws.

The letter also reads, "Despite this dishonest attack against the 45th President’s motives, it would be very hypocritical for your administration to turn around and make an unfair political decision for the sake of advancing the radical abortion agenda."

Because we've been asked by our members, and because these two Colorado Springs Republicans have been very vocal about where to locate Space Command, 17 days ago, we also invited Congressman Doug Lamborn and Mayor John Suthers to add their names and sign this letter.

Unfortunately, they refused to do so thus far.

We would still welcome Congressman Lamborn and Mayor Suthers to partner with us by signing this letter if they decide to change their minds so we can be unified in protecting the unborn no matter the cost, and correcting the record about President Trump while highlighting the double standards of certain self-serving politicians who stand to unfairly benefit from an abortion-led decision in this matter.

Please contact them and encourage them to join with us. We will let you know if they decide to change their minds, and will send an updated letter to the Biden Administration.

Thank you for reading our letter and we look forward to working with you to ensure the military's mission continues to be focused on protecting all innocent life from being in harm's way instead of it becoming a social experiment for the radical leftwing agenda.

For the Unborn,
Dave Williams
Chairman, Colorado Republicans
