MSNBC’s Chris Hayes: “What the GOP is doing in Ohio continues to be astoundingly deceitful.”

Fight Back Nationwide! > [link removed]

FIRST: Voters across the country approved ballot measures protecting reproductive freedom and rejected measures restricting abortion access – making it clear that the GOP can’t win by running on their extreme, anti-choice agenda.

THEN: Instead of trying to persuade voters, Republicans from Ohio, to Missouri, to Florida are working to make it harder to pass citizen-led ballot initiatives.

AND NOW: Ohio Republicans are going even further in their efforts to upend democracy by attempting to suppress turnout and deceive voters.

These anti-democratic tactics are reckless – and they’re also a consequence of gerrymandering. Will you donate today to help the NDR PAC fight for fairness across the country so we can hand power back to the people?

Since 1912, the people of Ohio have used ballot initiatives to have a say in Ohio politics and make changes – and now, the GOP-gerrymandered Ohio legislature is trying to threaten that. To help their proposal pass, they’ve scheduled what they hope will be a low-turnout special election in August and they’ve omitted key information from the ballot language.

Simply put, Ohio Republicans are upending decades of democratic norms so they can diminish voters’ power and enforce minority rule. Or, as A.G. Holder put it, “Republicans are making it clear that they will do whatever it takes – even if it means eroding our federalist system as we know it – to circumvent the will of the people so they can lock in their own power.”

The NDR PAC is fighting to defeat GOP politicians who are working to undermine our democracy. Will you donate now to support our efforts across the country?
