Food is one of our most basic necessities, yet for many, access to quality, nutritious food is a struggle.

Providing healthy meals for your family should not be dependent on your income level or zip code. That’s why I’ve supported legislation that provides healthy meals to children in schools, as well as dedicated time to volunteering at organizations including the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana and Meals on Wheels.

I am grateful for the dedicated advocacy of so many outstanding organizations in Northwest Indiana, and there remains much more work to do to ensure every family across the country is able to feed themselves without worry.
