After years of organizing and advocacy, conservation voters have a huge opportunity to pass a strong, equitable program to address PFAS contamination in our drinking water, but we need your support right now to ensure this happens: [[link removed]]

Hi John,

Wisconsinites can’t afford to wait any longer to address the threat of PFAS in our drinking water. More than 120 communities across Wisconsin have found PFAS – a class of chemicals being linked to a long list of negative health effects including cancer and liver damage – in their drinking water, and that number continues to grow.

Hundreds of conservation voters like you have made your voices heard by decision makers – by email, over the phone, and at the capitol on Conservation Lobby Day – and the Joint Finance Committee listened, allocating $125 million in the state budget for communities to address PFAS contamination.

However, none of that money can be distributed until the legislature passes a bill establishing how those funds will be used.

A bill to create a PFAS grants program (Senate Bill 312) is moving through the legislature right now, but we need to keep the pressure on our legislators to make sure they adopt necessary changes that would strengthen the PFAS Community Grants Program and ensure it is equitable and effective.

With just weeks to push this bill over the finish line, your support with an urgent gift today helps mobilize conservation voters across Wisconsin to advocate for a strong, equitable PFAS community grants program: [[link removed]]

Every person in Wisconsin deserves to turn on their tap and feel confident the water is safe to drink.

We can’t miss this opportunity to create a strong, equitable program to help communities and individuals impacted by PFAS clean up their drinking water and keep our families and communities safe and healthy.

But SB 312 is moving quickly, and we need legislators to adopt critical amendments to the bill before it gives communities the tools they need to effectively deal with contamination.

Our team is hard at work making sure conservation voters like you are being heard by decision makers – but we need your continued support to keep the momentum going. Can we count on your urgent gift today that funds our year-round organizing work to protect Wisconsin’s drinking water? [[link removed]]
