Friend, I got my start in local politics in Baton Rouge in the 1970s and 80s, worked my way up to Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign and since then I've worked on campaigns around the entire country. 

I've been in politics for what we in the industry call a long-ass time. So I can tell you from experience: 

Today's GOP is the greatest danger to our democracy, and I've never seen a political party like it. 

From election-undermining conspiracy theories, to abortion bans, to "Jim Crow 2.0" voter suppression laws, to gun violence inaction, to homophobic legislation, to banning books, to threatening to slash Medicare and Social Security... 

Friend, I don't say this lightly, but I'm 100% convinced that today's GOP simply doesn't care about the well-being of Americans. And since they've already got a leg up for 2024, I'm truly nervous about what's going to happen next November. 

And you're probably wondering, how do we stop them? You deserve honesty. Friend: We need to fundraise the hell out of this year. We need to raise as much money as possible so we can beat this ugly misinformation spin cycle the GOP has got us in.
