Just like DAV, A&W Restaurants has been devoted to supporting the homecoming of our service members for almost 100 years. For A&W, it all started with a tiny root beer stand. Entrepreneur Roy W. Allen thought his concoction would be perfect for the parade honoring the return of World War I veterans. His root beer was a hit and has remained a symbol of celebration and camaraderie ever since.

Celebrate next Tuesday by going to your nearest A&W Restaurant. And don’t forget to take a photo with your free Root Beer Float and share it with the hashtags #IHelpVeterans and #RootBeerFloatDay.
