June is National Gun Violence Awareness month, and we are renewing the call for action to save lives. There have been more mass shootings in 2023 than days in the year. Enough is enough.

Will you join Chris’ call to ban assault weapons and get these instruments of war off of our streets? We don’t have enough support yet in Congress, so we need to keep the pressure on to demand our elected officials find the courage to act.

Our country has witnessed more than 200 mass shootings in 2023.

We have to do more than offer sympathy. None of this happens by accident.

No other country in the world gift wraps powerful lethal firearms to every dangerous person with a grudge or paranoia. It’s just incomprehensible that we don’t realize this carnage is a choice.

We can make a different choice.

You don’t need an AR-15 to hunt or protect your family. You need an AR-15 if you want to kill as many people in as short an amount of time as possible.

It’s the mass shooter’s best friend. They would be the people most affected by its ban.

Will you please sign my petition today calling on Congress to pass legislation banning assault weapons? Most Americans agree, but we need to keep the pressure on my colleagues that they cannot continue refusing to act.

If your Congressman or Senator tells you that we are helpless in the face of this carnage and our gun laws are just fine as is, then decide to do one small thing, each week, to help elect his or her opponent.
