Stabilizing braces were originally designed to assist disabled shooters. But gun manufacturers have redesigned and misbranded accessories as “stabilizing braces” in order to circumvent regulations, putting profits over people and allowing mass shooters to more easily access weapons of war.

A “stabilizing brace” was used in Nashville, TN, this year, when three children and three adults were killed at their school. 

A “stabilizing brace” allowed the Colorado Springs shooter to kill five people and injure 25 in only minutes.

A “stabilizing brace” was used by the shooter in Dayton, OH, to kill 9 and injure 26 more in just 32 seconds.

In far too many recent tragedies, mass shooters have used pistols paired with “stabilizing braces” to make them more lethal, essentially creating a portable, concealable assault rifle.

Despite this, the gun lobby is determined to reverse President Biden’s rule.
