John,

I’d like to take a moment to welcome the start of Pride Month and celebrate our LGBTQI+ family, friends, and neighbors in our district and across the country.

This month marks a celebration of community, love, and recognition of the efforts of LGBTQI+ activists to secure equal rights. In what are undoubtedly challenging times, the LGBTQI+ community continues to be a vision of strength and resilience.

North Carolina is stronger when everyone is free to be who they are and love who they choose. In Congress, I will never stop advocating for equal rights for the LGBTQI+ community, including access to healthcare and education.

Amidst a hostile environment for the LGBTQI+ community here in North Carolina and across the country, it is more important than ever to recommit to the fight for LGBTQI+ rights. Today, I invite you to join me in demanding Congress pass the Equality Act to fight back against anti-LGBTQI+ legislation.
