The Neighborhood Council is a powerful tool as the most local, direct level of government in Los Angeles.

Dear friend,

I’m thrilled to announce my re-election for a 3rd term to the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council!

It has been an absolute honor to serve my community for four years as At-Large Representative and Treasurer. Now I’ll be the most tenured member of the 21-person council and I’m excited to remain a leader.

Let’s continue this momentum with my Congressional campaign—we made it to the top-two general election in 2022, and with your support we can win it all this time around:

There are 99 different neighborhood councils in Los Angeles, and we’re the most direct, locally-focused level of government in the city. We can vote to oppose or support legislation being considered in City Council, we have money to allocate into different community efforts and causes, and we spearhead on-the-ground initiatives like our community fridge or people experiencing homelessness committee.

We have some great incoming and returning representatives—if you’re in Los Angeles, I encourage you to get involved with the SLNC or your own LA Neighborhood Council & Committees!

I’m so glad to have the support of many of my fellow board members in this run for Congress. We’re entering a pivotal fundraising month, with our end-of-quarter deadline looming on June 30th. Can you help us start the month on a strong note?

In solidarity,

Maebe
