expectancy in Indiana has declined in recent years, especially among
those that are vital to our future.

To reverse that trend, we passed
legislation this session to:

✅ Support counties that choose to opt
in to providing enhanced core public health services like lead
screening for children, preventing tobacco use, and maternal health
services through their local health departments.

✅ Expand and
bolster the 988 Crisis and Suicide Lifeline services and mobile crisis
stabilization teams.

✅ Assist the state in implementing the
Governor’s Challenge to prevent suicide among veterans, service
members, and their families.

✅ Address the mental health needs of
juveniles and other individuals in the justice system.

A healthy
Indiana is key to our state’s continued success.

And thanks to the
work of Governor Holcomb and our Republican-led legislature, we’re
well-positioned to ensure that success continues.
