It's not even a believable lie, Lauren...     John, Last Wednesday, the U.S. House passed a compromise bill to lift the debt ceiling until 2025. Lauren Boebert loudly and proudly opposed this negotiated agreement to prevent wholesale catastrophe of the U.S. economy, pandering as hard as possible to the far right fringes and Fox News. However, when the bill was brought to a final vote, Boebert didn't vote at all. So what happened? After severe criticism of her inability or unwillingness to do the basic function of her job, Boebert claimed that she skipped the vote on purpose as some form of protest. Unfortunately for Boebert, the internet always has receipts: What kind of a person, much less Member of Congress, would so brazenly, openly, and clumsily lie like this? If you missed the vote, just say you missed the vote. Getting caught lying about being incompetent at your job simply means you're not only incompetent, but you're also a liar. Of course, none of that matters to a person like Boebert who treats truth and civility as obstacles to her own personal quest for power and influence. The Framers of our Constitution and our political system were concerned about power-hungry liars like Boebert occupying positions of authority—that's exactly why we have a chance to vote this kind of person out of office every two years. We can't afford to miss our chance to unseat Lauren Boebert and restore dignity and truth to this part of Colorado.
