Meet our 2023 Freedom Awards Honorees

Marcellus Osceola Jr. is the elected chairman of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, one of the most successful Native American tribes in the United States. The Seminole Tribe of Florida has more than 4,300 enrolled members and is headquartered in Hollywood, Fla., with reservations in many parts of the state.


 

Councilwoman Mariann Billie made history when she became the first female Council Representative for the Big Cypress Indian reservation. She is a member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida and a proud mother of two children. As a Council member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, she is focused on mental health wellness, communication, environmental sustainability and constitutional reform.  


 

The Brentwood School District, in partnership with the community, will provide an exceptional education, build character, and empower all students to reach their full potential as life-long learners in a diverse, global society.
