Introducing
** Classic Kirk
------------------------------------------------------------
A curated selection of
Russell Kirk’s classic essays
Dear
John,
I’m delighted to announce “Classic Kirk Essays ([link removed]) ,” a new section on the Kirk Center’s website which will make Russell’s best essays accessible online for today’s readers.
As you may know, Russell was a prolific writer of essays, speeches, and columns. Given the wide range of his literary output, many writings of perennial significance are scattered among print journals, and either not available or difficult to find online. This new section seeks to remedy that by providing an online home for these classic essays.
Our daughter Cecilia, who joined the Kirk Center two years ago as publications manager, will select and briefly introduce a featured essay each month. The debut essay in this series, “Cultural Debris ([link removed]) ,” was one of Russell’s own favorites. I hope you enjoy reading it and will share it widely.
Over time, we plan to fill out the topics and pieces in this collection to form a digital archive. Please let others who might be interested know about this new online resource ([link removed]) . I hope you visit the page frequently and find in Russell’s thought an abundance of learning and wisdom to reinforce the edifice of your own thought, work, and life.
Sincerely,
Annette Kirk, President
The Russell Kirk Center
