I got my start in politics way back when I was in high school in South Carolina. As I registered voters throughout my hometown of Orangeburg, I realized just how important this work is. Helping folks participate in our democracy is the cornerstone of political work, and the conversations held at every doorstep have a real impact on the entire community.

I’ve learned so much since then, but there’s one thing that’s stuck with me from the get-go: This work is about people. It's about bringing people together. Because when we work together, we can deliver real, lasting change.
