Special Olympics brings out the best in everyone. From empowering athletes to inspiring supporters, Special Olympics events bring people together to experience the joy of sports and the power of inclusion. Soon athletes from around the world will come together to showcase their talents and show the world that people with intellectual disabilities (ID) can do anything they set their minds.
That’s right, in 11 short days we’ll be kicking off a global celebration of inclusion and unity at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, Germany!
Competing in Berlin is a dream come true for this Special Olympics Florida 5x5 Unified Basketball team, composed of athletes with and without ID who are ready to go for the gold. Meet some of the amazing athletes on this team:
We want to ensure this team and every single athlete getting ready to compete knows they have our support, our love, and our well wishes as they head off to Berlin! Will you sign our card to athletes wishing them good luck? Help us fill it with the names of all of the incredible supporters who make this movement so powerful. Sign here >>
So whether you want to say good luck, break a leg, or you’ll do great – you can send your best wishes to all athletes competing in the Special Olympics World Games as they prepare to step onto the basketball court, take the field, or dive into the pool. Are you in?
